Narragansett United is a regional soccer club serving players from the Cumberland and York counties in south-western Maine. Our club offers teams and programming for players to train and compete on a premier as well as developmental level. Our coaching staff comes from an array of backgrounds including youth, high school and college level experience. All coaches are licensed by the United States Soccer Federation or certified by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
How we do it
Narragansett United sees player development as a succession of phases with each becoming more finite as the player’s role as an individual and member of a team becomes more distinct. Our objective is for players to train and compete within the parameters of a specific program. Training and competition is age appropriate with a particular focus on the player’s ability with a ball and their decision making.
Narragansett United is pleased to announce it has merged with Velocity SC. This venture is a true partnership; our clubs have combined two like philosophies. In being a part of the Velocity Soccer Club family the Narragansett United staff and its programming will continue to provide players the highest commitment to development in the Southern Maine area.
From a series of detailed discussions both clubs mutually decided a merger was the way to continue providing the best soccer experience to its current and future players and their families. Membership from both club's are excited to bring the best of both clubs together under one umbrella.
Narragansett United will bring its coaching experience, developmental programs, community outreach, and tournaments to compliment and expand what is currently offered at Velocity.
